Our kids love to help out in the workshop.  The 5-year-old twins are the most enthusiastic helpers of all!  They love to help paint, sweep and screw.  (Now don't go thinking that we work them all day long!  I don't want any child labor people to say we are exploiting our kids.)  Here's how it happens:  One of them says, "Mom, I want such and such (new Lego set, money for the school dance, etc.)"  Mom says, "Do you have the money?"  And if they don't we give them something to do so that they can earn the money themselves.
